During their growth and development, plants are influenced by a number of different factors. Among them are external (exogenous) and internal (endogenous). It is known that external factors, such as environmental temperature, daylight hours, insolation intensity, etc. are beyond human control. However, we can influence a significant number of internal factors, including hormonal regulation. Phytohormones are among the factors that regulate plant development and growth.
Plant hormones play a key role in the growth and development of plants, their response to environmental factors, etc. They are able to increase plant immunity, promote rooting, increase germination, as well as improve germination, accelerate fruit ripening, and reduce the negative effects of adverse environmental factors, such as cold snap or drought. The effectiveness of phytohormones is determined primarily by their correlation, which is responsible for the differentiation of plant tissues and organs. When plants are exposed to increasingly negative environmental factors, they often try to regulate the levels of endogenous phytohormones in order to reduce the negative impact of environmental stressors.
