In the period 2012-2014 in conditions of stable drought, there was evaluated oats gene pool of various eco-geographical origin from 40 countries. There is presented range of variation of the samples by the ripening time and plant height, the characteristics of the selected samples by the linear dimensions of panicle, number of grains in the panicle, 1000 grain weight, yield capacity. As a result of 3–year study of oats assortment, were isolated 69 new genetic sources of agronomic traits and characteristics with enhanced productivity, hardiness and grain quality.
